During the summer/fall of 2022, the Haines Science Center will add another workforce development project with the school(s). Edge of Space Sciences (EOSS) project is an atmospheric research platform where we launch student “satellites” to 100,000 feet – that’s the edge of space! The students will get their own pictures of the curvature of the earth!!! And do other fantastic science of the atmosphere above Southeast Alaska. It will be a launch (and recovery!) that the whole community can get excited about every year!
