The Haines Science Center focuses on providing relevant science data, educating and immersing students in science, and interpreting science for the community.
We interpret the science that impacts all Southeast Alaskans into actionable data. We synthesize studies in geology, fishing, recycling, and the changing climate to educate, inform and empower decision making for individuals and institutions. Our mission is to support the community of the Chilkat Valley. We sort through unfolding data and look to ancestral knowledge to facilitate deeper understanding of our unique landscape.
